UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Penn State women's soccer concludes its 32nd regular season as a varsity program this Sunday, October 26, as the Nittany Lions play host to the Ohio State Buckeyes in a 1 p.m. (ET) match from Jeffrey Field. PSU's Big Ten Decision Sunday match will stream live to a worldwide audience of authenticated subscribers via B1G+ and the B1G+ app on connected devices.
FAN INFORMATION, PARKING & PROMOTIONS
With the continuation of construction projects benefitting all 800+ student-athletes at Penn State, notably the construction of the Jeffrey Field Soccer Complex at the south end of the facility, elements of the Jeffrey Field match day experience have changed. Due to construction, the area behind the south goal will not be accessible to spectators. Spectator entrances are located on either end of Jeffrey Field near the corner flags on the south side of the facility. With Penn State’s annual THON 5K Fun Run/Walk to be held at 11 a.m. on Sunday, several traffic and parking restrictions will be in place that will impact Penn State Athletics events. Fans are advised to park in Stadium West for women’s soccer, as road closures will not allow for parking in other lots. The entrance to the lot is located at the intersection of Park Avenue and Stadium West Drive, with fans encouraged to enter the lot via Park Avenue from either I-99/322 or Atherton Street. ADA parking for women’s soccer spectators is available in the gravel lot off University Drive beside the soccer stadium. A valid state-issued ADA placard or license plate is required, along with a valid Penn State faculty/staff/student parking permit or parking purchased from either ParkWhiz or HONK. Spectators wishing to access the University Drive seating area should park in the Stadium West lot closest to the Bryce Jordan Center and walk down the sidewalk to the main entrance on the University Drive side of the facility. Penn State’s 2025 regular season finale will serve as the program’s annual White Out presented by MI Windows & Doors, with fans encouraged to wear white to Jeffrey Field on Sunday to help generate one of the most intimidating atmospheres in all of women’s college soccer. The first 250 students in attendance for Sunday’s match will receive a custom Penn State women’s soccer Wear White t-shirt.

The Nittany Lions return to action following a difficult 2-1 defeat at the hands of the Indiana Hoosiers on the road last weekend in Bloomington. Despite the final result, Penn State played a strong offensive match from start to finish, commanding the possession battle while racking up a 12-9 differential in total shots. The teams were level in both shots on goal and corner kick attempts, with each squad notching six on-target shots and five corners apiece. Redshirt senior midfielder Julia Raich was the only Nittany Lion on the scoresheet in the match, picking up her fifth goal of the season late in the second half. Raich is up to 14 points on the year split between five goals and four assists, continuing to improve on her highest-scoring season as a collegiate athlete in 2025. Raich was one of three Penn Staters to finish with multiple shots on the day with three, while graduate forward Kaitlyn MacBean and senior forward Amelia White finished with four and three, respectively. In goal, redshirt junior Mackenzie Gress logged four saves with two goals allowed in 90 minutes.
The Nittany Lions boast one of the most disciplined and consistent attacking units in the Big Ten Conference, with PSU boasting multiple top-three marks in the league. Penn State owns the No. 2 ranking in the Big Ten in assists per match (2.00), points per match (5.76), total assists (34) and total points (98), needing just one more goal to surpass the 100-point mark on the year. The Blue & White rate as the No. 3 team in the conference in terms of scoring offense with 1.88 goals per match, as well as total goals with 32 on the campaign. Individually, Penn State has relied on the consistent scoring quartet of sophomore forward Aubrey Kulpa, graduate forward Kaitlyn MacBean, senior forward Amelia White and redshirt senior midfielder Julia Raich. All four of those athletes have surpassed double figures in terms of total points, with the Cromwell, Connecticut, native Kulpa boasting the team-high scoring mark with 22 points on eight goals and six assists. Redshirt senior midfielder Riley Gleason continues to lead both Penn State and the Big Ten in assists with nine on the year, while redshirt junior goalkeeper Mackenzie Gress leads the Blue & White in saves with 42 as well as an 8-6-3 individual mark in net that mirrors PSU's record.
GOT A REALLY B1G TEAM
Penn State has been a dominant offensive force throughout the Big Ten Conference regular season, with the Nittany Lions generating the second-highest scoring offense in the league in that span. Penn State has tallied 17 goals since Big Ten action began on September 11, trailing only Michigan State's team scoring total of 26 goals in league matches. PSU has logged multi-goal matches against five of their 10 B1G opponents with a single shutout allowed. On the defensive end of the pitch, Penn State has notched a pair of shutouts against B1G competition and has held opponents in league play to one goal or fewer in seven of Penn State's 10 Big Ten matchups. On an individual basis, Penn State has been led in Big Ten action by graduate forward Kaitlyn MacBean and senior forward Amelia White, who have combined for three of Penn State's four match-winning goals in league play in addition to 10 of PSU's 17 goals in conference contests overall. MacBean owns the highest goal tally in the Big Ten in conference matches with six, tied alongside Michigan State's Kennedy Bell and USC's Maribel Flores. White is tied for the third-most match-winning goals in B1G play with two.

BATTLING THE BUCKEYES
Under the leadership of head coaching legend Lori Walker-Hock, the Ohio State Buckeyes enter Big Ten Decision Sunday boasting a solid 8-2-6 overall record coupled with a 4-1-5 ledger in Big Ten Conference play. The Buckeyes were receiving votes in the latest United Soccer Coaches poll and additionally picked up the No. 20 ranking according to TopDrawerSoccer. Ohio State enters the regular season finale after winning three of its last four matches, dating to a 1 -0 result over the Oregon Ducks on October 9. OSU owns wins over Illinois, Oregon, Rutgers and Maryland since the start of conference competition last month. The Buckeyes have faced a pair of ranked challengers this year, booking a draw against then-No. 16 Michigan State in addition to a 1-0 defeat at the hands of then-No. 16 South Carolina. Individually, returning All-Big Ten First Team selection Amanda Schlueter has made good on her reputation over the course of the 2025 campaign, boasting a team-high 20 points split between eight goals and a quartet of assists, with both of those marks leading the roster as well. In goal, veteran netminder Molly Pritchard continues her fourth full season between the pipes boasting a 0.35 goals-against average with a career-best .911 save percentage.
STORY OF THE SERIES
In one of Penn State's longest-running and most heavily-contested rivalry series, the Nittany Lions and Buckeyes get set for their 37th all-time meeting. The Blue & White boast a dominant record against OSU, leading the series by a 25-10-2 margin since the inaugural meeting of the two programs in PSU's first varsity season in 1994. The Nittany Lions and Buckeyes have played relatively even on the pitch over the last six meetings, with Ohio State booking a narrow 3-2-1 edge against the Nittany Lions. The last draw in the series came during the COVID-maligned 2021 spring season. Penn State boasts an impressive 4-1-0 record over Ohio State over the last five meetings on Jeffrey Field, with the Nittany Lions turning in an impressive 16-2-0 overall record at home heading into the programs' 19th-ever meeting in Happy Valley. Last year's matchup in Columbus saw the Buckeyes pick up a decisive 4-1 victory on their home field. Penn State took the last meeting in University Park by a 2-1 margin, utilizing a pair of scores from current Nittany Lion star Kaitlyn MacBean including a match-winning effort in the 88th.
