AS A JUNIOR IN 2017-18: Turner saw limited action throughout his third season as a Nittany Lion. Finishing with a 13-8 record, which included a 3-0 victory over Sacred Heart.
AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2016-17: Turner had another stellar season as a Nittany Lion ending the season with a 28-4 record, which included seven 3-0 shutout performances.
AS A FRESHMAN IN 2015-16: Turner saw plenty of action his first year, ending the season with a 20-7 record.
HIGH SCHOOL/PERSONAL: Gavin Turner is a recent graduate of Dighton-Rehoboth high school and is entering his premier season with Penn State. Turner made the most of his high school experience, receiving honor roll recognition and a foreign language award while also playing on Dighton-Rehoboth’s soccer team and being involved in National Honor Society. Turner is the second athlete in his family to pursue fencing at the collegiate level. His brother, Sean, fenced for the University of Pennsylvania from 2010-2014. Turner chose Penn State because the numerous academic resources will help him pursue his dream to become a surgeon. He is currently majoring in pre-medicine.
