8th year at Penn State
Johanna Picard Hall is in her eighth season as assistant coach. A native of France, Hall received both her undergraduate and graduate degrees from Penn State. She fenced foil for the Nittany Lions from 1984 to 1988 and was team captain her junior and senior years. While on the team, she compiled a 160-37 record, finishing her career with an 81% winning percentage. Her senior year, she placed 4th at the Mid-Atlantic/South Regionals and 19th at the NCAA Championships.
In addition to coaching, Hall assists Head Coach Glon with the administrative duties of the team and focuses her efforts on compliance, recruiting, alumni relations and community outreach.
Hall and her husband, Ken, have three sons and one daughter. They live in Boalsburg, PA.
