2007-08: Mike swam in one meet as a freshman, the dual meet with West Virginia. He finished fourth in the 400 freestyle relay. He sat out the rest of the season due to spine surgery.
2006-07: Mike swam in just one meet as a redshirt freshman, the Big Cat Invitational. He finished second in the 50 free and eighth in the 100 free.
High School:
Mike was a four-year member of the swimming team at Radnor High School and was a team captain for his senior season. He helped lead his team to three District 1-AA championships. Radnor was also the PIAA state runner-up his freshman and senior years and the Central League Champions in both of those years as well. A two-time district qualifier in the 100 backstroke, he qualified for the state meet in the 50 free and three relay events as a junior. As a senior, he was an All-American in three events. He also swam on a relay team that set the state record in the 200 medley relay. During his four years of high school, Radnor compiled a dual meet record of 34-4.
Personal:
Mike was born on October 5, 1987 in Philadelphia, Pa. The son of Ed and Carol Kaiserian, he has an older brother, Dan, who is a senior on the swimming team, and a younger sister, Lara. He has an uncle, Pete Stephenson, who attended Penn State. Mike is majoring in mechanical engineering. He lists biking and playing computer games as hobbies.
