2007-08: Ed continued to develop in strength and conditioning competing in four meets along the way. He swam his career best in the 50 free against West Chester placing fourth.
Meet-by-Meet Highlights: Placed fourth with his personal best time in the 50 free against West Chester...Also swam the 100 free and 200 free relay with West Chester...Swam the 50 free and 100 free against Michigan State and Virginia.
2006-07: Ed saw action in three dual meets last year as he adjusted to the collegiate swimming environment. He was primarily a freestyle sprinter.
Meet-by-Meet Highlights: Placed fifth in the 100 free and also swam in the 200 free and 100 butterfly at the Big Cat Invitational....Finished sixth in the 50 free and also swam in the 100 free vs. West Chester....Placed fifth in the 50 free with his fastest time of the year and also swam his fastest time of the year in the 100 free in the dual meet vs. Rutgers.
High School:
Ed earned three varsity letters in swimming at Hershey High School, where he was a team captain his last two years.As a sophomore and a junior, he helped lead his team to the Class 2A state championship. He was a part of the 400 free relay team that finished fifth in the state as a junior and that same team finished second in his senior year. He also swam on the 200 free relay team that finished fifth at states as a senior.
Personal:
Ed was born on May 30, 1988 in Harrisburg, Pa. He is the son of Jeff and Fay Felty. and has an older brother Rob, who is currently a junior on the PSU swimming team. He enjoys playing tennis, using computers, and photography. He is enrolled in the division of undergraduate studies at Penn State.
