2023 • SOPHOMORE SEASON

Season: Appeared in 35 games for the Blue & White, making 21 starts predominately in the outfield… Nearly doubled her batting average from the previous season, clocking a .246 mark in the box… Tallied career high marks in hits (17), runs scored (17), at-bats (69), doubles (five), triples (two) and RBI (10)… Cranked her first career home run in the 2023 season… Concluded the year with a .420 slugging percentage… Drew four walks and added a trio of stolen bases on a perfect three attempts… Recorded a 1.000 fielding percentage for the second year in a row.
vs. Memphis (2/19): Saw her first extensive playing time of the season, going 1-for-3 in the game… Knocked in a pair of runs an tallied her first extra-base hit of the year with a double… Added a run. at Norfolk State (3/4): Was 2-for-5 overall with a pair of RBI and a career-high two doubles… Logged a stolen base on her only attempt. at Hampton (3/5): Was 1-for-4 with a career-best three RBI thanks to a bases-clearing triple. vs. Marist (3/10): Was 1-for-2 at the plate with a double… Scored two runs and drew a walk. vs. St. Francis (3/10): Published a 2-for-4 line with a double and two RBI… Added a run scored. Iowa (3/26): Cranked her first career home run… Mustered a season-high four putouts in the outfield. at Northwestern (4/8): Went 1-for-2 at the dish with a run scored.
2022 • FRESHMAN SEASON
Season: Made 34 appearances and eight starts for the Nittany Lions… Batted .125 and recorded 12 putouts in the outfield... Recorded a perfect fielding percentage.
vs. No. 11 Missouri (2/11): Appeared in her first career game. vs. UConn (2/12): Scored her first collegiate run.vs. Cornell (3/20): Recorded her first collegiate hit and scored a run in the contest. vs. Indiana (4/15): Notched her first stolen base. vs. Indiana (4/17): Hit for extra bases for the first time in her career, booking a double.
HIGH SCHOOL
Played high school softball at Spain Park High School in Hoover, Alabama, just outside of Birmingham... Earned Alabama All-State and All-Shelby County honors in three consecutive seasons from 2018 to 2020... A highly-decorated high school performer, Coleman was named to the NFCA All-Southeast Region Second Team, as well as the region’s All-Academic Team in the 2019 campaign... Handled her club softball commitments with the Beverly Bandits... Brought home the 2017 14U U.S. National Championship title, as well as the 2019 U.S. 16A Junior Olympic Cup with her travel ball squad.
PERSONAL
Born in the fall of 2003, Lydia Coleman is the middle child of DeMel and LaTrese Coleman and is a native of Hoover, Alabama... She has one older brother named Lazarus who is three years her senior and a younger sister, named Leah, who is two years her junior... Expects to graduate in the spring of 2026 from the Penn State Smeal College of Business with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting.
