After two seasons as a student-athlete, Taylor Alotta moves into the role of undergraduate assistant coach for the 2015 season.
In 2014, Alotta was a member of the NCAA Championship squad but did not compete due to injury.
Alotta competed in 10 meets and at the NCAA Regional during her freshman season in 2013. On the competition front, Alotta competed on the floor exercise during her rookie season and ranked third on the team. She posted a career-best score of 9.850 in a quad-meet with New Hampshire, Temple and Penn (3/9) and scored 9.800 in a dual meet at Michigan (2/16).
Alotta joined the Penn State program after competing for the Parkettes and coaches Donna and Bill Strauss, Robin Netwall, John Holman and Heather Moroz. She was a two-time Junior Olympic National Qualifier and won the all-around championship at the 2011 Pennsylvania State Championships and Region 7 Championships. In 2009, she placed ninth in the all-around at the Junior Olympics National Invitational Tournament.
The daughter of Michael and Jacqulyn Alotta, she was born on July 1, 1994 in Easton, Pa. She is majoring in criminal justice.
