Williams enters his second season with the Nittany Lions in 2025-26.
In 2024-25, Williams mentored six NCAA Zone Qualifiers (Grace Brammer, Isaiah Clerkley, Abbey Ekstrom, Hayden Elliott, Anna Mae King and Kailey Koval) with Brammer, Ekstrom and Elliott all advancing to finals at NCAA Zones.
At NCAA Zones, Elliott finished sixth on 1-meter and 14th on 3-meter, while Bramer was 14th on 1-meter. Ekstrom placed 17th on 3-meter and 18th on 1-meter.
Brammer advanced to the B finals at the Big Ten Championships, finishing 13th. She represented South Africa at the World University Games and World Championships.
Williams came to Happy Valley from Towson University where he spent two years as the diving coach, mentoring six NCAA Zone A qualifying athletes. Additionally, he oversaw 10 Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) finalists and coached the CAA Rookie Diver of the Year.
Prior to his time with the Tigers, Williams coached for multiple collegiate diving programs, most recently at North Carolina State where he mentored seven ACC finalists and an ACC Champion. He also held diving coach positions at Old Dominion, St. Bonaventure and Northern Michigan, coaching over twenty conference finalists, six conference medalists and other award honorees.
Williams also brings experience with multiple swim camps, such as coaching the University of Texas Diving Camp for ten years. He also assisted in coaching the Ripfest and TriSynergy diving camps.
Williams graduated from Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania in 2010, earning his bachelor's degree in sport administration.
