2022 • SENIOR SEASON (AT HIGH POINT)
Awards: Named the Big South Setter of the Year…Voted first-team All-Big South…Earned one Big South Player of the Week honor (10/31).
Season: Played in 116 sets over 33 matches while leading High Point to a 23-10 record, the Big South title, and a spot in the NCAA Tournament…Finished with 975 assists (8.41/set), 128 kills (1.10/set), 245 digs (2.11/set), 51 blocks, and 27 aces…Had 40 or more assists in a match eight times, including a season-high 48 in a four-set win over Winthrop (11/19)…Reached double-digit digs eight times, including a season-high 15 in a five-set match against Campbell (11/3)…Recorded eight double-doubles with assists and digs…Nearly had a triple-double in a four-set win at Winthrop (10/29), finishing with 10 kills, 41 assists, and eight digs.

Season: Played in 84 sets over 32 matches, racking up 16 aces as a serving sub.
2020-21 • SOPHOMORE SEASON (AT CREIGHTON)
Awards: Earned a spot on the Academic All-Big East Team.
Season: Played in 62 sets over 16 matches…Finished with 15 aces, 358 assists, and 90 digs.
2019 • FRESHMAN SEASON (AT CREIGHTON)
Awards: Earned a spot on the Academic All-Big East Team.
Season: Played in 38 sets over 21 matches.
PRIOR TO PENN STATE
Led Benet Academy to a third-place finish in the Illinois state tournament as a senior…Served as a team captain…Named to the All-East Suburban Catholic Conference…Earned first-team all-state recognition in 2018 and was a two-time all-area selection…Named Benet Academy’s team MVP in 2018…Played for the USA High Performance A2 Team in 2017 and the Continental Team in 2016…Played first three years of collegiate volleyball at Creighton and one year at High Point.

Parents are Alex and Amy Van Eekeren…Has three siblings - Jackson, Tyler, and Lexi…Mother played volleyball at Illinois…Jackson, was a setter on the 2021 NCAA Championship team at Hawaii…Tyler plays basketball at Washington University in St. Louis.
