2019 • SOPHOMORE SEASON (AT WEST VIRGINIA)
Season: Played in 96 sets while appearing in all 29 of the team's matches, including 10 starts...Finished third on the team with 156 digs (1.63/set)...Added 25 assists and six aces...Had two matches with double-digit digs, including a season-high 12 in a four-set match at Arizona (9/7).
2018 • FRESHMAN SEASON (AT WEST VIRGINIA)
Season: Played in 60 sets while playing in 22 of the team's 30 matches, including two starts...Finished with 94 digs (1.57/set), 12 assists and five aces...Had two matches with double-digit digs, including a season high 14 in a four-set match against Wright State (8/25).
PRIOR TO PENN STATE
Played first two years of varsity volleyball at Winfield High School and final two seasons at George Washington High School...Earned all-conference honors while leading George Washington to state championship match in 2017...Played club volleyball with RiverCities Thunder for four years, WVSU Swarm for one year and Putnam Volleyball for two years...Won 2018 national championship with George Washington while earning MVP honors...Also ran track and played basketball in high school...Helped track team win back-to-back Class AAA state titles in 2015-16...Won 2016 state title in shuttle hurdles and was a first-team all-state selection in 2018.
PERSONAL
Parents are Robin and Paul Broughton...Has one older brother, Tristan...Paul, Robin and Tristan race mountain bikes, with Paul having 30 years pro experience and Robin having 20 years expert experience...Hobbies include riding horses, international travel and cooking...Competed on the WV Synchro Ice Skating Team...Majoring in integrative arts.
