Clay Steadman is in his first year as the general manager for the Penn State Nittany Lion wrestling team. Steadman was a 197-pound starter on the Penn State wrestling team during his freshman and sophomore years. A chronic neck injury, unfortunately, prevented him from competing in the subsequent years.
Steadman studied finance and economics at Penn State's Smeal College of Business and began his career at a tech startup company based primarily in Asian countries, where he played a significant role in growing and eventually selling the company in a multi-million dollar deal.
Following this, Steadman transitioned into the healthcare sector. For more than a decade he held roles in finance, business development, and sales, where he excelled in building relationships with executives for long-term partnerships. His career has seen him work in five different states as well as over two years living and working in Europe.
Steadman is also the founder of Achi3ve, an iOS personal development app that assists ex-athletes in working towards their goals beyond athletics. Additionally, he is the host of the "Where They Are Now" podcast on the Nittany Lion Wrestling Club’s Rokfin channel. Steadman interviews former Penn State wrestlers and delves into their lives after their athletic careers.
Steadman’s wife, Kristin, is a two-time national champion volleyball player for Penn State. The couple has three children: Bruce, Walter, and Lorelai. Known for his enthusiasm, energy, and work ethic, Clay is dedicated to Penn State Wrestling and is eager to contribute to its continued success.
