Tori Lesko is a licensed social worker and a mental health therapist. She passionately supports the mental health and well-being of student-athletes. With a background as a Division I basketball player at Iona University, where she also served as a three-year captain, Lesko brings a unique understanding of the challenges faced by student-athletes in and out of competition.
Lesko earned dual degrees in social work and English from Iona University in 2020 before pursuing her dual master's in social work and business administration from Saint Leo University between 2020-22. She gained valuable experience in diverse settings including school social work, psychiatric hospitals, clinical practice and residential care facilities. Lesko has developed expertise in providing individual and group therapy to those facing mental health challenges in these environments, enhancing her skills in assessment and intervention strategies.
In addition to her clinical role, Lesko was actively involved in coaching and mentorship as the High School Women's Assistant Basketball Coach at Wesley Chapel High School in Tampa, Florida, where she made an impact on young athletes both on and off the court.
Tori is deeply passionate about advocating for mental health awareness and accessibility, particularly within athletics communities. She is dedicated to breaking down stigma and barriers to mental health, aiming to empower athletes to prioritize their mental wellness alongside their athletic goals.
