SAMMAMISH, Wash. - After a disappointing first round score of 331, the women's golf team finished the second round of the Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational with a score of 312, giving the team a two-round score of 643. The team remains in 16 th place.
Southern California continues to lead the tournament after the team shot 291, giving them a final score of 587. Alison Walshe of Arizona leads the competition individually with a two-round score of three-under 141.
Senior Christin Pacacha improved her first round score by seven shots for an impressive score of three-over 75 for the second round. Sophomore Katherine Murphy also shot 75, improving her score by ten shots from day one of the competition. With a two-round score of 160, freshman Brianna Malcolmson trails Murphy by only one stroke.
The third and final round of the tournament will begin at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, October 10 with a shotgun start.
