Women's Golf Team Sees Improved Score in Round Two of Landfall Tradition

WILMINGTON, N.C - The Nittany Lions shot 308 in the second round of the Landfall Tradition, giving the team a total score of 57-over 633. Despite the improved score from round one, the team still remains in 12 th place, with UNC-Greensboro in a close 11th place with a score of 628.

With the second round of the competition came dramatic improvements from the Nittany Lions. Sara Lester, Christin Pacacha, Brianna Malcolmson, and Katherine Murphy all shot five-over 77, greatly improving scores from the first round. Lester, who shot 77 in both rounds, leads the Nittany Lions with a score of 154. Pacacha is only one stroke behind, with a two-round score of 155.

Wake Forest is currently in first place with a score of one-over 277. Purdue fell from its first place going into the second round and is currently in second place with a score of ten-over 586. Purdue's Christel Boeljon continues to lead the competition individually after she shot rounds of 68 and 72 for a combined score of four-under 140.

The third and final round of the Landfall Tradition will begin at 9:12 a.m. on Sunday.
