Carmel, Ind.- After a score of 325 in the first round of the Indiana Invitational, the Nittany Lions improved ten shots to give the team a two-round score of 640. They are currently in 14th place out of the 15 teams.
Senior Christin Pacacha leads the team after she shot an impressive three-over 75 in the first round. Pacacha currently has a two-round score of 11-over 155.
Many Nittany Lions saw improvement from the first round to the second round, which were both played today. Sophomore Katherine Murphy improved by four strokes and freshman Brianna Malcolmson improved by six strokes. The Nittany Lions are only nine strokes behind Illinois State, who are in 13th place.
No. 6 ranked Purdue currently leads the tournament with a score of 15-under 561. Individually, Purdue's Junthima Gulyanamitta is in first place with a score of nine-under 135.
The third and final round of the Indiana Invitational will be held tomorrow morning, April 8, at 9 a.m.
