UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - The Penn State men's tennis team has announced that its match originally scheduled vs. Bloomsburg on Feb. 5 has been moved to April 11.
The Nittany Lions were originally set to square off in a doubleheader on Sunday vs. Maryland followed by Bloomsburg. Penn State will now have a doubleheader on April 11. The Lions will square off with Michigan State at noon, followed by Bloomsburg at 5 p.m. All action will take place on the University Park campus.
The Nittany Lions are coming off a 1-1 finish at ITA Kick-Off Weekend last week in Gainesville, Fla. Penn Sate picked up a 6-1 victory over the No. 59 Furman Paladins to improve to 3-1 on the weekend. Junior Eddie Bourchier (Hobart, Australia) went a combined 3-0 in singles and doubles competition.
The Nittany Lions will return to Happy Valley next Sunday, Feb. 7 for a match up with Maryland. Penn State will take on Terrapins at noon at the Penn State Indoor Tennis Center. The match on the 7th will be the beginning of an seven-match homestand. The Nittany Lions open up Big Ten play on March 7 at home vs. Purdue. Admission to all Penn State tennis home matches is free.
