UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - Penn State head baseball coach Robbie Wine will call into ESPN Radio's "Sports Central" show hosted by Cory Giger later today (Wednesday) to discuss the action-packed start to the season while looking ahead to the upcoming Texas road swing. The interview is scheduled for approximately 5:20 p.m. and fans can listen in via 1450 AM in State College and 1430 AM in Altoona.
The Nittany Lions opened the season last weekend with a 2-1 record at the Big Ten/BIG EAST Challenge in Florida. They defeated Cincinnati in 12 innings and Seton Hall in 13 before falling to Notre Dame in 10. Sophomore Joey DeBernardis (Lake Zurich, Ill.) was the hero against the Bearcats with a walk-off single while junior Mario Eramo (Houston, Texas) followed with another walk-off against Seton Hall.
