Penn State Fencing Team Wraps up Two Days at October NAC

Men's and Women's fencing team finished off the first and second day of the Olympic trials

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa.; October 8, 2016 - The Penn State men's and women's fencing team competed Friday, Oct. 7 and Saturday, Oct. 8, at the 2016 NAC in Detroit, Michigan.

The women's foil team opened the weekend on Friday with freshman Jade Rowland (Princeton Junction, N.J.) placing 27th to lead the charge. Women's epee members competed Saturday, with senior Jessie Radanovich (Tollhouse, Calif.) tying for 12th place, Barbara Vanbenthuysen (Spring, TX ) placing 20th and sophomore Anastasia Kalonji (Rennes, France) tying for 23rd place. The men's foil team finished the trials with freshman Mohamed Hassan (Saint Louis, MO) placing 72nd to lead the Nittany Lions.

Action at the NAC continues tomorrow, Monday, in Detroit.
