FNC: Penn State returns to New York for dual meet

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- Penn State is heading to Queens, N.Y. this Saturday, Jan. 20, for a dual meet series. Penn State will look to fence against Harvard, Columbia, St. John's, Notre Dame and Ohio State. This weekend's action will begin at 10 a.m.

Fencing this weekend for head coach Wes Glon's men's squad will be:

Foil- Shane Iverson (Basking Ridge, N.J.), Julian Fevry (St. Albans, N.Y.), Mohamed Hassan (Saint Louis, Mo.), Andrey Ostatnigrosh (Fresno, Calif.), Felipe Rosario (Maplewood, N.J), Sebastiano Bicego (Vicenza, Italy) and Tomas Koeck (Fairfield, Conn.).

Epee- Alfred Galeno (Queens, N.Y.), Stefan Nico Popovici (Katy, Texas), Joshua Cole (Chappaqua, N.Y.), Anton Piskovatskov (Houston, Texas) and Clinton Rodell (Annandale,Va.).

Saber- Eduardo Lara (Queretaro, Mexico), Matt Lewicki (Oakland, N.J.), Marcel Dolegiewicz (Park Ridge, Ill.), Inti Farfan-Bayerl (Morrison, Colo), Karol Metryka (Linden, N.J.) and Andrew Mackiewicz (Westwood, Mass.).

Fencing for Glon's women's team will be:

Foil- Isabella Zuzulo (Newtown, Pa), Sofia McGoff-Medero (Gurabo, Puerto Rico), Jade Rowland (Princeton Junction, N.J.), Alissa Gozali (Singapore, Singapore), Najiyyah Clark (Maplewood, N.J.) and Lodovica Bicego (Vicenza, Italy).

Epee- Alissa Hofmann (Cambridge, Mass.), Barbara VanBenthuysen (Spring, Texas), Nicolette Vigna (Thornwood, N.Y.), Anastasia Kalonji (Rennes, France), Yumin Wang (Monmouth Junction, N.J.) and Medora McCarthy (Los Altos Hills, Calif.).

Saber- DeAna Oliver (Montclair, N.J.), Karen Chang (Hong Kong, China), Zara Moss (Cranberry Township, Pa.), Kathryn Charpin (Setauket, N.Y.), Sara Cunningham (Decatur, Ga.) and Kelli Wozniak (Westerville, Ohio).

Following this Saturday's action, Penn State fencers Zara Moss and Karen Chang will compete in the Women's Saber World Cup, which will begin Friday, Jan. 26, and conclude on Sunday, Jan. 28.
