WRAPPING UP INDOOR
With the 2018 indoor season officially in the books, the Nittany Lions finished the indoor season having recorded 18 program top-five performances, including five school records.
At the Big Ten Indoor Track & Field Championships, Penn State swept the 800-meter titles as Isaiah Harris and Danae Rivers defended their titles from last season. The men's team finished fourth, while the women's team finished sixth at Big Ten indoor championships in Geneva, Ohio.
Four Penn State student-athletes recorded First-Team All-American finishes at the NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships. The NCAA meet was highlighted by a NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP by David Lucas in the men's weight throw, a runner-up finish in the men's 800-meters by Isaiah Harris, and seventh-place finishes by Danae Rivers in the women's 800-meters and Maddie Holmberg in the pentathlon.
LAST YEAR'S PAC-12/BIG TEN CHALLENGE
Penn State track & field wrapped up their outdoor debut at the 2017 Pac-12/Big Ten Challenge hosted by Arizona State with the Big Ten conference grabbing the win on both sides while Penn State finished second on both the men's and women's side of the meet with the women's team scoring 134 points followed by the men's team score of 114 total points.
The Nittany Lions recorded 19 top-three finishes over the weekend with eight of those efforts being winning performances. Penn State also had a few athletes who turned in near school record marks.
