Penn State vs. Rutgers Game Preview
No. 10 Penn State welcomes Rutgers to Beaver Stadium for its regular-season finale on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. on BTN. The Nittany Lions will honor 16 seniors prior to the game who have compiled a 40-11 record to become the first 40-win class since 2009. Penn State has won 23 of its 29 Senior Day games dating back to 1990. 
 
Rutgers enters Saturday's game with a 2-9 record (0-8 Big Ten) and are seeking their first conference win since winning three Big Ten games in 2017. Rutgers is led by interim head coach Nunzio Campanile, who was named to the position on September 29, 2019. Here's what to watch for ahead of Penn State and Rutgers.
 
Penn State Spotlight
Where did time go? It seems like just a few days ago Penn State was opening up fall camp in Happy Valley. Fast forward a few months and here we are…Senior Day. The first 40-win class since 2009 has produced some memorable moments including the 2016 Big Ten Championship, a Rose Bowl appearance, Penn State highest ranking since 1999 and a Fiesta Bowl Championship. Saturday will be all about the 16 seniors who sacrificed invaluable time, effort and commitment to the Penn State brand. Those who will be recognized include: Nick Bowers, Cam Brown, Weston Carr, Dan Chisena, Nick Eury, Blake Gillikin, Steven Gonzalez, Jan Johnson, Hunter Kelly, Colton Maxwell, John Reid, Michael Shuster, Garrett Taylor, Justin Tobin, Robert Windsor and Jake Zembiec.  
 
Scouting the Scarlet Knights
Rutgers comes to Happy Valley looking for its first win since defeating Liberty on October 26, 2019. The Scarlet Knights are averaging 263.1 yards per game on offense and are allowing an average of 442.7 yards per game on defense. Quarterback Johnny Langan has thrown for four touchdowns and nine interceptions while averaging 67.6 yards per game through the air. One of Langan's top targets is Bo Melton who has a team high 27 receptions for 375 yards and two touchdowns. Running Back Isaih Pacheco has rushed for 627 yards and seven touchdowns while averaging 62.7 yards per game. 
 
Defensively, keep an eye on Olakunie Fatukasi who has recorded 83 tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss, three pass breakups and forced a fumble. Linebacker Tyshon Fogg ranks third in the Big Ten with 8.6 tackles per game.
