No. 67 Men's Tennis Set To Face No. 8 Columbia

The Nittany Lions will travel to New York for the match on Sunday at 2:30 p.m.

NEW YORK, N.Y.- The No. 67 Penn State Men’s Tennis team is prepped to play No. 8 Columbia on the road this weekend. The match is slated to begin at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday March 2 at the Philip & Cheryl Milstein Family Tennis Center.  

 

THE NITTANY LIONS 

Penn State (11-1) has entered the ITA polls for the first time this season and will go into Columbia at No. 67. Graduate students Sam Bossem, Loren Byers, and Charl Morgan continue to lead the young squad with freshmen Reiya Hattori, David Lindsay, and Marcus Schoeman adding crucial wins for the Nittany Lions. 

 

SCOUTING COLUMBIA 

The Lions welcome Penn State ranked at No. 8 in the ITA polls with a 6-3 record. Columbia hosts No. 46 Tulsa on Friday, Feb. 28 before facing the Nittany Lions. Historically, the Lions hold a 14-2 record over Penn State. 

 

UP NEXT 

Following the road match against Columbia, the Nittany Lions will begin their Big Ten slate on the road at No. 3 Ohio State on Saturday, March 8 at noon.
