UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Week 15 in the National Football League saw 50 Penn State Football alums populate the rosters of 26 National Football League organizations. Three former Nittany Lion pass rushers highlighted Week 15 standouts.
New York Giants linebacker Abdul Carter recorded his best game in his rookie season. In the Giants’ setback against the Washington Commanders, Carter collected seven tackles, while tallying three tackles for loss and one sack. He forced two fumbles and recovered one, while adding a quarterback hit.
Los Angeles Chargers linebacker Odafe Oweh secured four tackles, all solo, in the Chargers’ 16-13 win over the Kansas City Chiefs. Oweh notched three tackles for loss and two sacks, while adding two quarterback hits.
Green Bay Packers defensive lineman Micah Parsons registered two tackles, one solo, and forced a fumble in the Packers’ 34-26 loss against the Denver Broncos. However, Parsons left the game with an ACL injury.
On offense, Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley helped the Eagles to a 31-0 win over the Las Vegas Raiders. Barkley tallied 78 rushing yards and 14 receiving yards, while adding a 2-yard touchdown rush. Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Chris Godwin caught a 3-yard touchdown and a two-point conversion in the Bucs’ 29-28 setback against the Atlanta Falcons. Giants tight end Theo Johnson hauled in three receptions for 72 yards, including 42- and 24-yard catches.
Safety Nick Scott recorded 10 tackles in the Carolina Panthers’ 20-17 loss against the New Orleans Saints. Punter Jordan Stout averaged 45 yards on three punts, while landing two punts inside the 20, in the Baltimore Ravens’ 24-0 win over the Cincinnati Bengals.
