UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The Penn State women’s tennis team has been named an Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) All-Academic Team, while six Nittany Lions have earned ITA Scholar-Athlete distinction for their dominance in the classroom.
To be named an ITA All-Academic Team, programs must have a team grade point average of 3.2 or higher. The Nittany Lions, under the direction of head coach Alexandra McIntyre, owned a stellar team GPA of 3.57 during the 2025-26 academic year.
In addition to the team honor, six Nittany Lions earned ITA Scholar-Athlete distinction which is awarded to student-athletes who compiled a grade point average of at least 3.5 during the 2025-26 academic year. Brianna Baldi, Maria Daciana Ciubotaru, Ansley Cox, Olivia Dorner, Patricia Grigoras and Maelie Monfils each earned ITA Scholar-Athlete honors.
