Performance Nutrition is established on providing a “food first” fueling principle, providing an optimal nutritional experience for Penn State student-athletes. Performance Nutrition aims to drive high-performance through research-centered, evidence-based methodologies, nutrition assessment, education, and counseling. Thus, contributing to the development of elite-level student-athletes while promoting their overall health and wellbeing.

Our mission is to engage, educate, and empower every student-athlete and coaches, with the performance nutrition fundamentals to facilitate behavior change that allows each student-athlete to adequately fuel to participate in sport at their highest potential on and off the field of play.

The Performance Nutrition department is comprised of 4 registered dietitians and a team of nutrition interns. We have 5 main fueling stations stretched across the PSU campus, several locker room fueling areas, and sport specific training table experiences.
