The main priority of our sport camp programs is the health, safety and well-being of our participants, student-athletes, coaches, and staff. 

All potential applicants to our youth residential programs are encouraged to regularly check our updated information and expectations, which may be subject to change.

Online registration ends 2 days prior to the camp, unless the camp is full.

Rugby Skills Camp, July 27-29

Grades 8-12, boys and girls

The Penn State Rugby Skills Camp is designed for students entering grades 8-12 next fall and accommodates skill levels from beginner to elite.

The camp introduces players to a high-performance lifestyle and will develop rugby skills in a positive environment. Instruction will be geared toward increasing skill execution in game situations and developing mental skills to be a better rugby player and teammate.

Camp Highlights

  • Individual skill assessment and development (Catch, pass, tackle, contact skills)
  • Positional skill assessment and development (Kicking, lineout throws, scrum-half passing, etc.)
  • High performance lifestyle (Strength and conditioning, nutrition, mental skills)
  • Sports Health Care staff available throughout the camp

 

Fees: 

$600 resident (includes instruction, housing, meals, a camp shirt)
$515 day camper (includes instruction, all meals, a camp shirt, no housing)

Meals: Dinner on the first day to breakfast on the last day 

 

What to Bring for Camp
Participants should bring the necessary practice gear, sneakers and cleated shoes, rugby jerseys, shoulder pads and head gear if appropriate. Long sleeves and leggings are recommended. Mouth guards are mandatory. Also, participants should bring a water bottle to refill during camp. Gatorade and water will be provided.

• Please be respectful to all coaches, Sports Health Care staff, fellow campers and guests.
• We have some of the best facilities in the world; please take care of them.
