2022 / SENIOR SEASON:
Season: Earned first team All-American, All-Region and All-Big Ten honors...Had eight shutouts in 17-4 season for Penn State...Tallied 91 saves with only 24 goals against in NCAA semifinal season...Ended season with 1.17 goals against average.
Louisville (8/28/22): Tallied five saves against the Cardinals. St. Joseph’s (9/9/22): Notched five saves in 2-1 win at SJU. Michigan (9/16/22): Collected 10 saves in 2-1 win over Michigan in B1G opener in Ann Arbor. Cornell (9/17/22), Michigan State (9/23/22), Ohio State (9/25/22): Posted three straight shutouts over Cornell, MSU and OSU with seven total saves. Northwestern (9/30/22): Posted season-high 14 saves at Northwestern. Indiana (10/2/22): Shut out Indiana on the road. Iowa (10/7/22): Five saves in 2-1 win over Hawkeyes. Bucknell (10/14/22): Picked up another shutout against Bison. Kent State (10/16/22): Five saves in shutout win at Kent State. Rutgers (10/22/22): Six saves in B1G road win. Louisville (11/11/22): Six saves in stellar 5-0 shutout win over Louisville in first round of NCAA tournament. UAlbany (11/13/22): Five saves two days later in 1-0 shutout win over UAlbany, spurring Penn State on to NCAA semifinals.
2021 / JUNIOR SEASON:
Season: Started all 20 games for Penn State...Earned NFHCA Second Team All-Region Honors...Had three shutouts and 90 saves.
Virginia (8/27/21): Season-high tying nine saves in opener at Virginia, a 3-2 win. Delaware (9/12/21): First shutout of the year with six saves in 3-0 win. Maryland (9/18/21): Picked up seven saves in 3-2 Big Ten road win. Princeton (10/17/21): Had nine saves against the Tigers. Ohio State (10/22/21): Notched second shutout of the year in 4-0 win. Michigan State (10/24/21): Picked up second shutout in three days in a 1-0 win. Michigan (10/29/21): Had eight saves in 3-2 victory over the Wolverines.
2020 / SOPHOMORE SEASON:
Season: For second straight year, was only goalie to play a second for Penn State...Ended the year with a 2.08 goals against average, a .770 save percentage, 67 saves, 20 goals allowed and four shutouts.
Northwestern (3/5/21): Had season-best 12 saves in a 2-1 victory over the Wildcats in Virginia Beach. Maryland (3/12/21): Notched first of four shutouts on the season with seven saves in a 3-0 win. Michigan State (3/21/21): Picked up second shutout with a three save performance in a 3-0 win at Michigan State. Indiana (4/9/21): First of two weekend shutouts against Indiana with four saves in a 1-0 win. Indiana (4/11/21): Had one save in 3-0 shutout victory. Ohio State (4/16/21): Collected nine saves in a 2-1 victory over the Buckeyes.
2019 / REDSHIRT FRESHMAN SEASON:
Season: Played every second of the 2019 season, starting all 20 games as a redshirt freshman...Ended year with 102 saves and a .713 save percentage.
Duke (8/30/19): Made first career start. Villanova (9/29/19): Had five saves in picking up first career win. Indiana (10/4/19): Grabbed first Big Ten win at Indiana. Northwestern (10/11/19): Had ten saves in Big Ten victory. Bucknell (10/30/19): First career shutout victory. Michigan (11/7/19): Superb eight save effort in 2-1 Big Ten tourney win over Wolverines. Maryland (11/8/19): Shutout top-seed Maryland with eight saves a day later in Big Ten semifinal victory. Iowa (11/10/19): Took Iowa to overtime before Penn State lost 1-0 in Big Ten title game.
2018 / TRUE FRESHMAN SEASON:
Redshirt season.
HIGH SCHOOL: Four-year letterwinner in field hockey...Was a three-year first-team all-league, including league MVP honor as a senior...Was a three-year first-team Morning Call, two-year first-team Lehigh Valley Live...Was a first-team all-state as a senior and second team All-State as a junior...Started 59 games, allowing only 83 goals...Had 23 shutouts with 725 saves for an 89.73 save percentage...Named 2017 Morning Call Player of the Year...Was Parkland High School’s 2018 Female Athlete of the Year.
PERSONAL: Parents are Cheryl and Robert Barraco...Has three siblings, Victoria (a PSU graduate), Christian and Matthew.
