Junior Andrew Mackrides heads into year three of his Penn State career ready to have an even bigger impact on Penn State[apos]s fortunes in 2007. The two-year letterman was an important part of Penn State[apos]s midfield last year and looks to lead by example in `07.
Lion Career:
2006: Andrew played in all 13 games for Penn State in 2006, starting twice. He had six points off five goals and an assist, collected 12 ground balls and had a .417 shot percentage (taking 12 shots and notching five goals).
2005:Mackrides played in 14 games, starting three. He ended the season with two points off two goals. Mackrides had five shots on goal and 16 ground balls.
High School/Personal:
Born February 10, 1986...all-state, All-America and team MVP junior and senior seasons...team was Inter-AC champions in 2002 and `03...earned eight varsity letters in lacrosse, basketball and football...biggest thrill was playing in the state lacrosse championships in front of thousands of people under the lights...son of Michael and Donna Mackrides...has three brothers Scott, Marc and Matt...Labor and Industrial Relations major..
