LION CAREER
2009: Elmer was a solid part of Penn State[apos]s defensive efforts in 2009, playing in nine of the Nittany Lions[apos] 14 games. He had five ground balls.
2008:Elmer played in his first collegiate games in 2008, seeing time in four contests. He ended the year with one assist and one ground ball.
2007: Elmer did not see any action in 2007.
HIGH SCHOOL/PERSONAL:
Elmer was a two-sport star at Henderson, lettering for three years in football and four in lacrosse. He led Henderson with 30 goals and 37 assists in 2006. Elmer is the son of Jeff and Linda Elmer. He has a brother, Nick, and a sister, Carly. Elmer is a economics major at Penn State.
COACHES VIEW:
';JJ switched to LSM last spring and immediately gained playing time because of his aggressive play, ground ball play, and enthusiasm. After a strong fall, JJ should be more consistent in his play with the long pole.'
