Senior Mike Toner heads into his final campaign with the Nittany Lions coming off his most effective season to date. The New York native became a solid part of Penn State[apos]s attack last year and will be counted on for increased productivity in 2009.
LION CAREER:
2008:As a junior, Toner played in six games and scored his first career points with two goals and two assists in 2008. Toner took eight shots and heads into this final campaign with four career points.
2007:Toner played in two games for Penn State in 2007, seeing time against Hobart and St. Joseph[apos]s.
2006: Toner played in one game in 2006. He had one ground ball and took one shot vs. St. John[apos]s.
HIGH SCHOOL/PERSONAL:
Born Nov. 12, 1986...65 goals and 30 assists as senior...first team all-league and team MVP that year...earned school Scholar Athlete Award...second team all-league as a sophomore...126 career goals and 74 career assists...played only two games as a junior after having season cut short by injury...son of Robert and Kathleen Toner...two brothers, Robert II and Ryan and sister, Jacklyn...business management major at Penn State.
