Eric Gracia completed his second year as director of video and analytics in the 2022-23 season.
At Penn State, Gracia oversees the day-to-day video operations including the production of highlight tapes, pre-game hype videos, and scout film among other responsibilities.
On the analytical side, Gracia examines statistical trends to create reports.
Along with Gracia’s position in Happy Valley, he has been a board member and Vice President of Marketing for the Latino Association of Basketball Coaches since 2020. Upon Gracia’s joining of the LABC, membership grew from 30 to 400 members within a three-month period.
Prior to arriving at Happy Valley, Gracia spent six years at North Dallas High School as a girls’ basketball coach from 2015-21, first as an assistant on the boys’ side before being promoted to head girls’ coach in 2019. During his time at North Dallas High School, Gracia also worked as a freelance graphic designer and video consultant with multiple Division I and Division II universities.
On the side with coaching, Gracia was a video consultant for ESPN analyst Fran Fraschilla from 2020-21. Together they created instructional and pre-draft content using Coach Paint, whom Gracia also consulted with during this time. Their videos garnered over 1.3 million views on Twitter during the pandemic.
A native of Harlingen, Texas, Gracia graduated from the University of Texas Pan-American in 2013 with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice with a minor in sociology. He then received his master’s degree in coaching and sport administration from Angelo State in 2015.
