The main priority of our sport camp programs is the health, safety and well-being of our participants, student-athletes, coaches, and staff. 

All potential applicants to our youth residential programs are encouraged to regularly check our updated information and expectations, which may be subject to change.

The Participant Form must be completed online two weeks prior to the first day of camp.

Elite Showcases, June 1, June 8, or June 18
Grades 9 and up next fall

The Penn State Elite Showcases are open to students who are entering grades 9 and up next fall. These physically demanding and competitive camps are specifically designed for more advanced skill players who are serious about raising their skills in preparation for playing football beyond high school.

Under the direction of Head Coach James Franklin and the entire Penn State football staff, the focus of each Showcase is placed on position-specific skill and technique development. These no-pad, no-helmet, one-day camps feature instruction for all offensive and defensive positions. This camp is geared towards quarterbacks, running backs, wide receivers, tight ends, offensive linemen, defensive linemen, linebackers, and defensive backs. Camp will include individual instruction and competition drills.

You should expect to spend time working in position groups on individual skills and techniques. You will then apply what is learned in competitive situations.

Fee: Includes instruction
Individual: $50 per camp

When: 

June 1 -- 1:30-5:15 p.m.

June 8 -- 1:30-5:15 p.m.

June 18 -- 1:30-5:15 p.m.

 


Specialist Camp, June 18       
Grades 9 and up next fall
 

The Penn State Specialist Camp is open to students who are entering grades 9 and up next fall. All kickers, punters and snappers are encouraged to attend this camp.

The Penn State Specialist Camp is designed to give kickers, punters, and snappers the opportunity to enhance specific skills through on and off the field instruction. Camp will include individual instruction and competition drills.

Fee: Includes instruction
Individual: $50

7ON PASSING CAMPS (Teams Only)

Date: Friday - June 6, 2025 or Friday - June 13, 2025 or Friday - June 20, 2025

Registration: 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. TBD
Instruction Begins: 10:15 a.m.
Session #1 - Pool Play: 10:30 a.m.
Session #2 - Pool Play: 2:30 p.m.
Session #3 - Tournament Play: 4:30 p.m.
 

BIG MAN CHALLENGES (Teams & Individuals)

Date: Friday - June 6, 2025 or Friday - June 13, 2025 or Friday - June 20, 2025

Registration: 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.  TBD
Big Man Head Coaches Meeting: 9:15 a.m.
Dynamic Warmup Begins: 10:15 a.m.
Session #1 - Instruction / Competition: 10:30 a.m.
Session #2 - Instruction / Competition: 1:30 p.m.
Challenges Conclude: 3:30 p.m. (join 7on camp)

Team Information

The primary focus of the Penn State Lion Strong 7on Passing Camp & Big Man Challenge is to provide an opportunity for high school teams &/or non-scholastic teams to learn from some of college football's most elite coaches.

Features of the Lion Strong 7on Passing Camp & Big Man Challenge:

  • Register early, enrollment is limited.
  • Team Registration for each camp closes 10 days prior to the start of the camp (May 27 or June 2, or June 9) 
  • Instruction by Penn State Football coaching staff and players
  • 7on Passing Camp competition consists of at least five games for every team
  • Games refereed by high school officials
  • Big Man Challenge participants compete in various drills individually & against other teams
  • Big Man Challenge participants receive position skill & technique development
  • Team & individual awards presented
  • The ideal environment for an entire team to improve & develop collectively
  • Lit, natural grass & synthetic turf playing fields
  • Sports Health Care Staff roaming the fields

 

WHAT TO BRING

Players should bring the following:

  • Lunch/snacks to stay properly fueled (LUNCH NOT PROVIDED)
  • Football helmets (strongly recommended)
  • Mouthpieces - MANDATORY FOR EVERY PLAYER
  • Football cleats & sneakers
  • Practice shorts, t-shirts & socks
  • Two different colored jerseys or matching shirts
  • Water, sport drinks, liquids to stay properly hydrated
  • Extra water bottle
  • Sunscreen

Coaches should bring the following:

  • Lunch/snacks to stay properly fueled (LUNCH NOT PROVIDED)
  • Extra water bottles
  • Footballs
  • Extra mouthpieces
  • Extra ice & drinks for team
  • Athletic training supplies

 

TEAM REGISTRATION - COACH/TEAM REPRESENTATIVE

A coach/team representative must register online. The coach/team representative will receive a confirmation email.

  • Coach/Team Representative - Provide each camper a personal team link received from SportCampInfo@psu.edu.
  • Coach/Team Representative – Provide a team roster to SportCampinfo@psu.edu
    • Team roster is due 10 days prior to the start of the camp (May 27 or June 2 or June 9) 
    • Include all players and coaches on the roster.
    • NO roster additions after May 27 or June 2 or June 9.
  • Campers - Parents register campers using the personal team link provided by the Coach to ensure that their child is placed on the correct team.

TEAM PAYMENT
The coach/team representative must register online with a nonrefundable deposit of $100.
Payment must be made online by credit card. The balance of the fee is due ten (10) days prior to the camp (May 27 or June 2, or June 9).


TEAM FEES 

  • Teams:  $350 per team (7 On and Big Man included together)

 

Coach/Team Representative:

Penn State is committed to providing a safe environment for all employees, students and visitors. We will provide trained staff to assist in making your experience at the event the best experience possible. Penn State Sport Camps are administered by Intercollegiate Athletics in accordance with University policy AD39 and NCAA rules and regulations. Clubs must obtain signed parental/legal guardian medical release forms authorizing the minors' participation in the event. All adults and minors attending Penn State Camps are participants of the camp as such; all participants must follow the instructions of the Penn State staff in complying with the rules and regulations of the event. Any violations of the rules or instructions of the Penn State staff may result in immediate dismissal from the event.

All adult participants are required to read and understand obligations for reporting child abuse witnessed or suspected during the course of participation in the camp at Penn State University. Adult participants, who willfully fail to report a case of suspected child abuse, will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including dismissal. Adult participants are protected by Pennsylvania law and Penn State policy from discrimination for filing a good faith report of child abuse.
