UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - The Penn State fencers had a successful day hosting Drew, Haverford, UNC, UPenn and Temple at the White Building. The one-day event was the last home event for the team this season. With few individual defeats, the men and women went 4-0 and 5-0, respectively, for the day.

The men went 4-0 in both the saber and the foil overall, in the epee the team was 3-1. The number of standout individual performances propelled the team to their phenomenal overall record for the day including action from Michael El-Saleh who went 8-2 and Gianni Di Cioccio went 6-0 in the foil. Freshman Sean Moran had a strong record of 7-3 in the saber joined by Adrian Bak who went 9-3. Vernon O'Garra went 4-1 in the epee while Oliver Valdes was 9-2.

The women had an equally impressive day ending 5-0 in both the epee and saber and 3-2 in the foil.
