Nittany Lions in the NFL: Wild Card Preview

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – A total of 43 Penn State Football alumni are populating the rosters of 25 National Football League organizations. The Nittany Lions annually rank among the top 20 programs nationally in producing players in the NFL.
 
With the regular season now wrapped up, Penn State has 21 former players who are a part of 12 NFL playoff organizations.

WEEK 18 RECAP
 
Saquon Barkley wrapped up his 2023 campaign with a two-touchdown game in week 18. Chris Godwin led the Tampa Bay pass catchers with six grabs for 51 yards, helping his team secure a playoff berth. Defensively, Yetur Gross-Matos recorded a sack in his final game of the season. On special teams, Blake Gillikin finished his outstanding season with Arizona ranking inside the top 10 in the NFL in both average yards per punt (fourth) and net punting (eighth).
 
Parsons concluded his stellar defensive season inside the top 10 in the NFL in both sacks and tackles for loss. He ranked sixth in the league with 18 tackles for loss and tied for eighth in the NFL with 14.0 sacks. Recently, Parsons was rewarded for his efforts by being selected to the 2024 NFL Pro Bowl.
