Before Penn State:
Alexander Karman is a lefty coming to Penn State from Port Washington, New York. Playing a full schedule of national and sectional USTA tournaments since the age of 10, Karman reached a national high of #37 in singles and #4 in doubles in the 16s division. Throughout his time in the juniors, Karman won a gold ball in Easter Bowl doubles and was a bronze medal winner in the USTA Spring Team Championships in 2018. In addition, he reached the round of 16 in both the 2019 National Indoors and Winter Nationals, and was selected for both the Intersectional Championships and National Spring Team Championships. Karman also won an ITF J5 doubles in Pakistan despite limited tournament play in 2020.
